Otunba Niyi Adebayo, the former Ekiti state governor, is sure that the All Progressives Congress will win the today’s presidential and National Assembly elections.

The official made his position known as he spoke with The Nation in Iyin Ekiti. Adebayo insisted that despite the intimidation and violence against the opposition leaders, the APC had done more than the Peoples Democratic Party and was ready to win.
“We are more than prepared. We have done everything possible. We have campaigned, we have gone round the state and the country, much more than the people we are contestng against.
“We have educated the voters. Our level of preparedness is very high. We honestly believe that given a level playing field, from the feedback we have been getting from the polls we have conducted, we have no doubt that the APC should win all the electons here in Ekiti and without a doubt in the whole country.”
Adebayo

urged the Independent Natonal Electoral Commission to enable adequate logistics for the successful conduct of the elections. He praised the body for the work done.
“They have done a lot of work and it hasn’t been easy for them in terms of the logistcs involved in an operaton like this.
“One can only hope and pray that whatever preparations they have made will be more than enough to see that we have a successful election tomorrow (today).”
Regarding his point about the opposition harrasement, the former governor stated:
“I don’t want this to be seen as coming from somebody in the opposition, but my concern is that the amount of threat and intimidation that have been coming from side of the party in government leaves one a little bit worried especially here in Ekiti.
“We have a situation whereby honestly, only God can save us in this state. But we hope and pray that things will not degenerate tomorrow (today) because up to this point, there has been a lot of intimidaton, a lot of attacks, a lot of violence perpetrated against the members of the APC, and we hope that the security agencies will be up to the task to see that it does not continue tomorrow.
“It will be sad if such situation persists, especially on election day.”
