By Olasunkanmi Akoni Thegovernorship candidate of Unity Party of Nigeria, UPN, in Ogun State, Prince Rotimi Paseda, has said the election would not be an easy ride for the incumbent, Governor Ibikunle Amosun. Speaking during a town hall meeting in the state, Paseda, who received an overwhelming support from the people of the state when he visited the refugee camp, Oru, Ehin Osun, Idowa, Ososa, Igbile, Agbado area of Ogun State and others, said: “I know my people and my people want a change and the change is Paseda. “I decided to venture into politics so as to develop Ogun State and to re-introduce Awolowo’s legacies, which has eluded the people. “I am a beneficiary of the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo’s free education policy and I believe posterity will not forgive any beneficiary of free education policy, who now has the opportunity to do same to the poor masses of this country, particularly in Ogun State, but denied them of that legitimate right.” Paseda, who was recently honoured in Ijebu Omu with a chieftaincy title, said his coronation was a call to service. Also the UPN’s Organizing Secretary, Dr. Ola Olateju, told the crowd that his party was in the race to consolidate on Awo’s legacies, which had eluded the populace for a very long time.
