Senate President, Bukola Saraki was, today, September 24, 2015, attacked at the Eid praying ground in Ilorin, Kwara State.
Saraki and other dignitaries, including the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari and the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Alhaji Muhammadu Bashir, were stoned by supposed civil servants who were angry at the non-payment of their salaries.
Here are three other government officials who have also been stoned by miscreants:
1) Goodluck Jonathan: Former President, Goodluck Jonathan was stoned twice, once in Bauchi State and the second time in Katsina, during his re-election campaign in January 2015.
2) Babangida Aliyu: The former governor of Niger State, Babangida Aliyu was stoned and booed on May 29, 2015, at the swearing-in ceremony of his successor, Abubakar Sani Bello.
3) Ibikunle Amosun: Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun was reportedly stoned on January 29, 2015 during a campaign visit to the Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijebu-Ode.
