Commercial se’x workers from Adansi-Obuasi in Ashanti region in Ghana have pleaded with the government to legalize their trade to allow them operate freely.
Speaking in an interview with Shaft FM, a representative of the Adansi-Obuasi se’x workers, Mama Sweet, said:
‘We want government to legalize prostitution by giving us licenses to operate, so that we can work morning, afternoon and evening. Some of us were introduced into prostitution by our friends due to lack of financial support from family members.’
